How it Works
Connect
Most parents and students start here. If we know a little bit more about you, we’ll be able to better understand how we can help you and your child out. If you’d like to chat more, please fill out our new student form here and we will reach out to you soon for a consultation.
Consult
Our lead tutor, Adam, will reach out to you to discuss your specific needs. Here we’ll get a better sense of how we can support you. We believe that honest and direct feedback is crucial to success so we will only ever recommend what we believe will help you.
Try us out
We always recommend starting with just one 60-minute session to start. This helps you to be sure that we’re a good fit for you before we go any further.
After you reserve your session, you’ll receive a booking confirmation email; additionally, your tutor will reach out to you directly with a link to our online meeting (Google meet.).
Choose your tutor(s)
You will always have the choice of who you want to work with. With different personalities, expertise, and availability on our team we are confident that we have a tutor that can support you. Most students benefit from consistency and choose to work with a single tutor on a regular basis. Many students also find that they prefer to work regularly with a variety of tutors so feel free to try out multiple tutors if you would like.
Reserve sessions on your schedule
Most students find that meeting on a semi-consistent weekly schedule is best. We’re here to support you if you want to meet more frequently, less frequently, or even just occasionally to help prepare for exams. We understand how dynamic your schedule can be week to week so we invite you to book appointments directly online that fit your schedule.
Need to reschedule or cancel?
No problem! We understand. Let us know ASAP if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. We do ask for 24 hours notice. If something unexpected happens and you need to cancel last minute (within 24 hours) we will always do our best to work with you. We will only need to charge 50% or 100% for last minute cancellations if it becomes consistently problematic.
Honesty. Guaranteed.
If we had a “mission statement” it would likely just be one word long - Honesty.
It’s the driving principle behind what we think is the most important aspect of responsible tutoring.
We will always be upfront and honest with you and your student about their abilities, situation, expectations, and performance. Direct, honest, and frequent feedback is vital for student success. As tutors, we have no influence over classroom grades so our only motive it is to provide you with support on understanding. That means you need to know - honestly - what the reality of your current context is and what might need to change to improve on that.
Satisfaction. Guaranteed.
If you ever leave a session unhappy with how things went, let us know immediately and we’ll make it right.
